The Yardbirds
The Yardbirds are known for being one of the names associated with the 60's blues explosion and for being the early stamping ground of the likes of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.
Original members Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja are currently keeping the Yardbirds name alive by performing in England with John Idan on bass and vocals, Alan Glenn, (formerly of 9 Below Zero) on harp and Ben King on guitar.
Jim McCarty has a knack of picking superb guitarists and Ben is no exception. So this is a band with a real pedigree and of high quality who, having finished a tour with the Zombies, are doing a special gig just for us. Expect a mix of old and new driving blues/rock.

Dave Harrington's Swift Half
The Bournemouth-based band lead by the enigmatic Dave Harrington who's mouth-watering guitar licks and unusual fingering style have left many great guitarists agog.
Dave's back line are brothers John and Graham Bowman on drums and bass who some of you may know from the excellent Recliners. A rare outing for Swift Half and I for one hope it is the first of many.
